SPX to Exhibit at Australian Gas Technology Conference
2/7/2012
PERTH, Australia, July 2, 2012 – Later this month, SPX will be participating in a key conference in Perth focusing on Australia’s fast growing, $200 billion liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry.

With Australia poised to become the world’s leading LNG exporter by 2020, the Australian Gas Technology Conference & Exhibition (AGT) will address the challenges and opportunities connected with the industry, including technical challenges, innovations and resourcing issues.

AGT is expected to bring together 150 exhibitors and 3500 visitors to Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from 25-27 July 2012, with its focus on gas processing and the construction and operation of LNG facilities, associated pipelines and exporting terminals.

SPX will be presenting its latest products and technology suited to the Australian gas market. Several innovative products will be on display, including Plenty brand filters, which allow up to 1 micron for filtration purposes. Its dry gas filters can be used to remove fine debris from gas pipelines. Dry gas filters use disposable depth type cartridges to retain contaminants in the element structure. Cartridges are sleeve type with inner and outer support housings. Support housings are re-usable with only the sleeve part being disposable.

ClydeUnion Pumps is a new member of the SPX product portfolio and will be introduced at the Australian Gas Technology Conference & Exhibition (AGT) for the very first time. SPX ClydeUnion brand pumps are able to handle high-pressure applications and are very suitable for the LNG market. For instance, its Vertically Suspended (VS) pump range is ideally suited for use in sump drainage, cryogenic processes, seawater lift and as firewater pumps. The VS range has a comprehensive portfolio including lineshaft type CUP-VS1s and CUP-VS4s through to canister type CUP-VS6s and submersible motor pumpsets, all of which comply to API 610.
