Seismic processing operations expand into China 28/3/2008 |      | GGS-Spectrum, a provider of advanced seismic data processing and multi-client
Surveys and off-shore acquisition, has announced the legal incorporation of Beijing-based GGS-Spectrum (BJ) International Oil Technology Inc. The new GGS-Spectrum subsidiary will build upon two years of successful collaboration as a joint venture and remote support centre with the parent company.
“As part of GGS-Spectrum, our new Chinese office will be able to extend its capabilities, playing an integral role in supporting local clients and strengthening our worldwide seismic processing operations.” Commented David Rowlands, Managing Director of GGS-Spectrum Ltd.
“Over the past 2 years our team has enjoyed a successful relationship with GGS-Spectrum and I am delighted to formally join the global team. Our geophysicists are now in a position to provide advanced seismic data processing capability to both local and international clients.” Commented Katie Zhao, Office Manager in Beijing.
Zhao employs a team of local geoscientists at the state-of-the-art offices in the Wangjing district of Beijing. She has over 20 years experience in seismic data processing and project management, of which 15 years were spent with geophysical service contractor BGP. The Beijing team has received intensive training in all aspects of GGS-Spectrum’s internationally proven seismic processing techniques and are currently providing “on-line” support to the company’s Houston, London, Cairo and Tripoli processing centres.
